Description

Keeping escape artists within the belts
At some point all children come into a phase of testing out their limits. For some of them, this means developing a habit of wriggling themselves out of the harness of their child car seat, no matter how well the parent has tightened it.

Thoroughly tested protection
The BeSafe Belt Guard is, of course, crash-tested at a renowned test institute and complies with the strict requirements of UN R129 regulation. To get UN R129-approved, the Belt Guard has to comply with strict specifications regarding size, functionality as well as ease of opening. In addition to crash testing at 50 km/h like in the UN R129 regulation, we have done our own crash-testing on the Belt Guard in the same way as we have done it on our other accessories: in a frontal impact at 72 km/h.

Quick and easy handling
By being installed permanently onto the shoulder pads, the Belt Guard makes buckling the child up easy and uncomplicated. It is solely compatible with BeSafe toddler seats. It can stay permanently on the seat, making buckling up quick and easy. The patented design of this solution allows for closing and opening the Belt Guard in just one action, thereby enabling taking the child out of the seat quickly in any situation. If needed, the Belt Guard can also be opened by an adult if the internal harness is still closed and tightened. For this, you would have to push the shoulder belts closer together, so that there is less tension on the Belt Guard. Then, you could rotate the right side upwards slightly and the left side downwards and then pull the two parts apart.

How is it attached?
On the BeSafe toddler seats you will find Velcro under the shoulder pads. Open the bottom of that Velcro and place each part of the Belt Guard between the Velcros of the shoulder pads. For the right angle, make sure that the shape of the Velcros on the Belt Guard parts follow the shape of the Velcro stripes on the shoulder pads. Align the Belt Guard with the bottom of the shoulder pads. After attaching the Belt Guard parts, make sure to close the Velcro strips of the shoulder pads firmly. Note that the BeSafe Belt Guard is only to be used with BeSafe toddler seats.

Frequently Asked Questions

ISOFIX or Seatbelt

ISOFIX and seat belts are two vital elements when it comes to children's car seats. Both keep the car seat secure.

In terms of safety during impact, there is no difference between ISOFIX and belt attachment, as long as they are both installed correctly - they are as safe as each other.

Weight limit or height limit first?

Car seats that have a weight limit and a height limit are outgrown as soon as your child meets one of those limits. e.g. an infant carrier might have a 13kg weight limit and an 86cm height limit, the seat would be outgrown as soon as the child was 86cm even if they were only 11kg.

What is the Swedish Plus Test?

The Swedish Plus Test is the toughest crash test in the world! The Plus Test is a voluntary additional crash test that car seat manufacturers can apply for. Plus tested car seats ensure that your child is not exposed to life-threatening neck forces during a collision. Find out more about the Swedish Plus Test here.

Can you help me install the car seat?

Every car seat purchase includes either installation at Fakenham or remote support to ensure a safe install.
